Wedding Schedule

The Day Before:

Date: Saturday, September 5th, 2026

• Welcome Night - come say hi to the couple from 6:30 PM until they decide to leave. Food and/or drink is on you!

  • The Light Horse Restaurant and Bar - 715 King St, Alexandria, VA

  • Located upstairs!

The Wedding:

The wedding, and all of its activities, will take place at Cedar Knoll in Fort Hunt, VA.

Date: Sunday, September 6th, 2026

• Shuttle - 3:40PM Departure from The Alexandrian Hotel

  • If you would like to take the shuttle to the wedding, please arrive to the outside of the Alexandrian Hotel before the departure time and look for a large party bus nearby. The shuttle will get you to the venue 30 minutes before the ceremony starts. There is a 30 person capacity so if the bus is full or you miss the departure, you can of course still take a taxi or ride-share to the venue. It is just a 15 minute ride.

• Ceremony - 4:30 PM through 5:00 PM

  • Located on the restaurant lawn facing the Potomac River. We will exchange vows surrounded by family and friends. The ceremony will take place outdoors, weather permitting.

  • Guests may arrive up to 30 minutes prior to ceremony start. Please be seated no later than 4:25 PM.

• Cocktail Hour - 5:00 PM through 6:00 PM

  • Located on the restaurant patio - adjacent to the ceremony. Guests may enjoy provided cocktail and appetizer service on the covered patio.

• Reception - 6:00 PM through 10:00 PM

  • Located in the Lafayette Room - adjacent to the patio. Bring your appetite and dancing shoes!

Note Regarding Food Service

• Dinner will be served buffet and family style with vegetarian options, so there will not be a need to pre-select any specific meals.

• Shuttle - 10:00PM Departure from the venue back to The Alexandrian Hotel

  • If you would like to take the shuttle back (especially if you are going to the after party), please hop on after the bride and groom have departed to return to Old Town, Alexandria safely. It will be easier (or quicker) to get a Lyft/Uber in Old Town than wait at the venue. Please ensure you’ve planned your preferred exit!

After-Party - 10:00 PM through 1:00 AM

• Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub - Located in Old Town, Alexandria.

• Completely optional for those guests that like to stay out a little later! The shuttle drop off is only two blocks away. We will be in the upstairs room with our own bar-service and late night menu if you’re still hungry. Guests will have their own bar-tab if attending (just mention our party).

  • There will likely be live music in the downstairs bar area, just be sure to pay your tab mentioning our group!

• NOTE! The free old town trolley stops at 11:00 PM. Please ensure you have a safe transportation option back to your accommodation. If you are staying at the Alexandrian or Hotel Heron, they are right down the block.
